Edinburgh startup CEO selected as an advisor for the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI)

Sara Roberts, Founder and CEO of Edinburgh startup Healthy Nibbles, is one of just 43 advisors across the UK and Europe that has been selected to join the 2020 WELL Concept Advisory Groups.

Over 178 advisors have been hand-picked from 20 countries to inform the continuous development and ongoing implementation of the WELL Building Standard. Of these 178 global advisors, just 24% are from Europe, and only 12% from the UK.

Roberts will be advising in the Nourishment team, where she will work alongside 11 senior executives to shape better eating habits and a healthier food culture across the globe.

Roberts, as the CEO of Healthy Nibbles, leads the way in award-winning healthy solutions across the UK through healthy vending, white-label snacks, and snack boxes, all designed to improve productivity and combat rising levels of diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease.

On joining the 2020 advisory group, Roberts commented “Being part of the Nourishment Advisory is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of nutritional wellbeing in buildings and communities, driving research agendas in ways that help people thrive.”

While Roberts is sitting under the Nourishment solution, advisors will be spread across 10 fields including light, mind, water, community, movement, and more.

Advisors have been selected from a wide range of backgrounds and subject fields to provide a well-rounded collaborative result, including public health, medicine, architecture, design and building science. Collectively, they will work to advance the global healthy movement.

The IWBI launched in 2014 as a public benefit corporation to transform buildings and communities to improve people’s health and wellness on a global scale. For more information on the 2020 advisory programme, click here, and to learn more about Roberts’ organisation Healthy Nibbles, click here
