After a busy January Scottish Business Network is backed with a packed month - here is your definitive list of what's happening at SBN over the next few weeks.

February 3rd - new event website listing all key upcoming events.

There is a busy event calendar this year, with events from Scottish Business NetworkSBN Members and vital business events across the country.

To make this easier we have launched the SBN Events Site which lists all the upcoming events that can benefit Scottish businesses.

There is also a form for submitting your own event - check it out and get in touch!

February 11th – Episode 25 of the Podcast Series, with Frase Allen.

The Scottish Business Network podcast series continues with an episode that is long overdue.

In episode 25 you will hear from our charismatic host Fraser Allen who was interviewed by Sue Stockdale. After running a marketing agency for 18 years Fraser has recently left to take a new path.

February 13th – SBNRoundtable Series continues in Edinburgh.

We host our next SBNRoundtable series on Thursday February 13th at the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton. These are new intimate sessions we run with a select group of business leaders where they share experience and expertise freely with you in the aim of moving all our businesses forward. 

This time we will also be interviewing SBN Member, and returning Scot, Harry McGrath who is the Chair, Head of Engagement & Global Outreach of the Dot Scot Registry.

February 18th - Creating a Culture of Collaboration, with Sylvia Baldock

Our Scotland House Lunch and Learn is back with Sylvia Baldock covering how to "Create a Culture of Collaboration".

GALLUP POLLS show that at least 80% of British workers are not playing to their strengths at work. They are not appreciated for the unique value they bring to the workplace, resulting in low engagement and motivation and reduced productivity and profitability.

Sylvia Baldock offers a powerful team collaboration session which highlights how to utilise the inherent strengths of individuals to maximise the talent in your organisation and develop a ‘Culture of Collaboration’

This event series is open to all Scottish Business Network members and Scotland House members.

February 18th – SBN Masterclass Series with Professor Lynne Cadenhead

Our Masterclass series continues in London with "Investment in Women Led Businesses - The Challenges and Opportunities" with Professor Lynne Cadenhead.

When female led businesses are experiencing growth they encounter different challenges from male or mixed led businesses. In this Masterclass, Lynne will be joined by SBN Members Joy Lewis and Becky Woodhouse who will discuss their business journeys and the challenges they have faced because of their gender.

Lynne will also give some insight into these challenges and delve into why women led businesses should be thought of differently, especially when it comes to investment.

February 18th – London Event Series

We continue our London activity in the familiar surroundings of Smith & Williamson where we will hear from Joy Lewis of AAI EmployabilityAeneas O'Hara of Away from the Ordinary and Aimee Anderson of Aimee Anderson Associates. All three will share their asks in front of SBN Members and guests, seeking advice and guidance on how to continue scaling their business in London and abroad.

February 28th – Episode 26 of the Podcast Series, with Michael Mancini.

The Scottish Business Network podcast series continues as Fraser interviews Michael Mancini of 1718ltd.

Michael has spent years mastering his craft and has a full understanding of the entire design process from start to finish. 1718ltd was set up because he wanted to showcase traditional hand-crafted techniques by skilled British craftsmen and create the antiques of tomorrow.
